“The P-Line” Portage – Stevens Point: A Public Presentation

Come, travel back to an era when a Soo Line railroad  branch line stretched south from Stevens Point to Portage. A Computer aided presentation will enable hosts Mike Harrington, Middleton and Tim Martin to reveal interesting events, photos and facts of the famed P-Line. Be prepared to view many rare (and even color!) views of the P-Line. Learn why the Soo Line backed their trains into Montello and view rare photos of a special consist that visited Marquette County around WWI. This and more, will be included in the presentation, being held at the Montello Safety Building (in the basement of the courthouse). This program is being sponsored by the Marquette County Historical Society. Refreshments will be served. If you’re interested in branch line railroading, at its best, then be sure not to miss this program.
