Obsessive-Compulsive SLHTS Modelers Proudly Display their Goods at 2003 Convention.

At this year's annual SLHTS convention in Gladstone, Michigan, members eyes bulged upon arrival at the model contest area. On display was the entire Soo Line fleet of U30C locomotives modeled by Bob Rivard in HO scale. In addition, a monster rock train was presented by Bob Bye. Each car had a different road number.

If you listened carefully around the contest area, you could hear whispers of, "these guys must not be married", or "how do they find the time to do all of this?". But all who attended the contest area were glad that the modelers did make the sacrifice and time and money to make their vision come to life. And of course everyone who attended was thankful that the modelers and photographers took the time to submit their craft to be enjoyed by other hard-core Soo Line railfans.
