Brass Soo Line Steam Era Models (HO)

The Soo Line Historical and Technical Society, through the efforts of member Dennis Storzek, has developed etched brassed parts for accurate and highly detailed limited-run HO scale kits.

These carbody kits can be assembled with epoxy or cyanoacrylate adhesive, or can be soldered together if desired. The kits include castings for all necessary detail parts to complete each model. Complete instructions will be supplied with the kits.

All brass kits come with decals to be applied by the modeler.

For the coach kits: the modeler will neeed to supply the roof and 6-wheel trucks from an AHM/Rivarossi 1920 Coach for each model as well as a choice of diaphragms and couplers. Trucks from another manufacturer could also be used if preferred.

For the baggage kits: Each kit requires one Rivarossi 1920 Baggage Car or 1920 Baggage Mail Car to provide the roof, ends, and trucks.

For more information on these cars, refer to the Fall 2002 issue (vol.24, #4) and Winter 2004 issue flyer (vol.26, #1) of "the SOO." Please e-mail Ken Soroos regarding the most current availability status.
