Membership Chairman
• To join the SLHTS or renew your membership.
• Any questions about your membership status.
• Where's my magazine? Members' magazines begin to arrive around
the first of March, June, September and December. If your magazine
doesn’t arrive by mid-March, June, September, or December,
contact the membership chairman. If the problem is in the mailing list,
which he manages, he can then fix whatever went awry. Please note that
the Post Office does not guarantee delivery within any time frame, and
bulk-rate magazines can sit for weeks until an office has time to process
it.
• If your magazine arrived damaged, again, contact the membership
chairman for a replacement.
To purchase magazines, please see our back-issues page.
Back-Issues Manager
If your magazine order doesn’t arrive right away, please allow 4-6
weeks for delivery, then contact the back-issues manager for the status
on your order.

Questions about
the Soo Line or SLHTS?
What does "SOO" stand for?
It isn't an acronym such as ATSF or SP, but rather is a phoenetic spelling
of "Sault," for Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the original eastern
terminus of the Minneapolis, Sault Ste. Marie & Atlantic Railway line
eastward from Minneapolis. Since "the Soo Line" is a nickname
like "the Hoosier Line" or "Katy," only the "S"
should be capitalized. That is, it's "Soo Line," never "SOO
Line."
